La Galerie Circulaire est heureuse
d’accueillir Martha Street Studio Editions, une exposition
qui présente le travail en estampe des artistes Michael
Dumontier, Sylvia Matas, Simon Hughes, Erica Eyres, Krisjanis
Kaktins-Gorsline et Scott Benesiinaabandan. Les œuvres exposées
sont issues d’un projet de Martha Street Studio, le centre
de l’association des artistes imprimeurs du Manitoba. Cette
initiative a permis à plusieurs artistes contemporains
de Winnipeg et d’ailleurs qui ne travaillent pas habituellement
avec les techniques traditionnelles d’estampe, d’être
encadrés par des techniciens de haut calibre pour créer
des multiples en eau-forte, en relief, en sérigraphie et
en lithographie.
Martha Street Studio est un centre en arts
imprimés d’approche communautaire qui se trouve au
Exchange District, un quartier historique de Winnipeg. Le centre
offre à la communauté artistique les équipements,
les locaux et l’assistance nécessaires pour produire,
exposer et diffuser des travaux en arts imprimés à
l’échelle locale, nationale et internationale.

Galerie Circulaire is pleased to welcome Martha Street Studio
Editions, an exhibition presenting prints by artists Michael Dumontier,
Sylvia Matas, Simon Hughes, Erica Eyres, Krisjanis Kaktins-Gorsline
and Scott Benesiinaabandan. The works on show were created in
collaboration with Martha Street Studio, a center operated by
the Manitoba Printmakers’ Association. Contemporary artists
from Winnipeg and beyond who do not habitually work in traditional
editioning techniques were assisted by highly skilled technicians
to produce multiples in etching, relief printing, screen-printing
and lithography.
Martha Street Studio is
a community-based printmaking facility, located in Winnipeg’s
Historic Exchange District. It offers the artistic community equipment,
facilities and support to produce, exhibit, and to disseminate
cutting-edge print-based works on a local, national, and international
level. Senior artists, emerging artists and mid-career artists
alike produce and present work at Martha Street Studio.
